This is exactly what awaits you here: almost 50 kilometres of cleared and well-signposted hiking trails lead you through the winter wonderland of Sölden. There are 19 winter hiking trails in various degrees of difficulty for you to try. Hiking is not just a must during summer in Ötztal. Our winter hiking tip: Choose the route to Moosalm, which is easy to master and offers a spectacular panorama. If you’re an ambitious winter hiker, you should take a tour to Stallwiesalm, which leads through pine forests covered in deep snow.

Cross-country into the valley

Every ascent in Ötztal is rewarded with an impressive view. How about whizzing back down to the valley on your touring skis through the deep snow-covered forests and meadows, leaving your fresh tracks in the snow? You can also reach higher starting points comfortably with the mountain cable cars. The most popular ski touring routes include the Ötztaler Runde and the Vent Loop Tour. Afterwards, relax with a soothing sauna session and warm up your tired muscles again.
